About Lauren

Lauren Lynn is a singer-songwriter based in Lincoln, Nebraska, currently self-producing her debut album, out this fall. Her songs move between guarded and hopeful, often in the same breath, built around a running thread of night and light and the kind of small, specific details that make a feeling land.

She’s spent most of 2026 in her home studio, tracking with remote session musicians and making every decision herself, for better or worse. You can follow the process (and the occasional deadpan commentary on it) on Instagram [@laurenby95] and, soon, on YouTube.

Before songwriting took over, Lauren has built a parallel career as a composer and lawyer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music composition from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a J.D. from UNL’s College of Law, and her choral works have been performed by ensembles including Choral Chameleon, the International Orange Chorale of San Francisco, and the Nebraska Choral Directors Association. She still writes choral music and serves as president of The Nebraska Vocal Jazz Project.
